Lot Description

A late Victorian silver vesta case of oval form, the front case with foliate engraving surrounding an engraved cartouche and below a triangular arch. Hallmarked Birmingham 1890 and the maker's mark R.B. Height measuring 5.2 cm, weight 18.5 grams.

The vesta case displays some obvious wear and tear and heavily tarnished. Numerous dints to the body, the lid does not fully close and a split to the seam visible. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
