Lot Description
George III silver sauce boat with frilled rim, floral and scroll embossed body with vacant cartouche and upon a stippled background, leaf capped flying scroll handle and raised on three stylised shell feet. Hallmarked London 1762, with the maker's mark W.S, tentatively attributed to William Skeen. Height measuring 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cm), weight 12.4 ozt (386 grams).

Condition Report
The sauce boat displays general scratches marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. To the same side on the sauce boat there is a repair to the rim and body around the cartouche. The front foot gives a light impression to the inside of the piece. The hallmarks lightly rubbed but clearly legible.
