Germany, Nazi Third Reich, Iron Cross, second class, in original leather pouch sealed with a bronze Close Combat Clasp, and half of a “dog tag” with stamped legend 2267 1/Jnf.Ens.Batl.154. (3).
The Close Combat Clasp in bronze was awarded for 15 days close quarter fighting. The vendor is distantly related to the recipient and remembers being told that the recipient was killed on the last day.
