Condition Report
The lot is in fair to good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized to the back of the band and near the shoulders, with minor discolouration and scratches. There is an area of heavier scratches with minor tarnish, to the back of the outside of the band. Please see important notices in the back of the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. Due to the nature of the setting, we are unable to verify whether or not the opal is solid or a doublet. The opal displays a good play of colour, predominantly green and purple. There are two, small, deep scratches and minor surface scratches. There are chips and nicks to the edge of the opal. The opal has numerous crazing cracks and slight cloudiness along one side. The back of the opal is a dark blue cabochon with a cavity containing traces of matrix rock. Opal length 21.5mms. Ring size P.
Unhallmarked.
