Lot Description
A mid 19th century woven seed pearl necklace. Composed of five graduated woven seed pearl foliate links with mother-of-pearl backings, gathered by three rows of seed pearls, to the split pearl rectangular-shape clasp. Length 38cms. With case and two letters of provenance.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. The seed pearls are in good condition. There are blisters and blemishes to many seed pearls. Some of the woven threading is possibly worn and in need of attention. The clasp is discoloured, it is secure. The necklace comes along with two letters from the necklaces previous owner. The box is worn and discoloured in places, there are scuffs and scratches to the outer casing.
