A 9ct gold opal single-stone ring. The oval opal cabochon, to the replacement early 20th century band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1920. Weight 4gms.

The lot is in fair overall condition. The band is a replacement with worn engraving to the shoulders and has been repaired. The opal displays a moderately good play of colour with predominantly green hues. There are dead areas of gem with no play of colour. The opal has moderate surface scratches. The opal has numerous fractures. The claws may have been repaired. Ring size N.
