A late 19th century gilt serpent bangle. The coiled body with vari-colour paste-set head. Inner diameter 5.5cms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and pitting in keeping with age and wear. There is abrasion and pitting to the gilt surface in many places. Pastes medium bluish green, red and colourless, in fair condition with abrasion and nibbles to the facet edges. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. The back of the bangle has two hinge/spring joints that allow the bangle to open and close with restricted movement. Tail is stamped N P, with an anchor motif between the two characters. Unhallmarked.
