A late 19th century gold amethyst brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, within a textured foliate surround, with scroll and bead accent. Length 4cms. Weight 9.3gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. There is one bead deficient. The piece has significant discolouration. The brooch has a high carat gold gilt finish over a lower carat gold base. The piece has small deep gouges and associated discolouration. The amethyst is a slightly pinkish purple with good clarity and minor abrasion. Unhallmarked.
