A late 19th century continental silver paste cross pendant, the circular-shape gilt glass panel depicting the pelican drawing blood to feed its young, with a floral cross to the reverse and stained mother-of-pearl divider, within a paste surround, to the colourless paste arms and paste crown hinged surmount. Length 10.9cms. Weight 37.1gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Some of the paste have slight discolouration. The front panel of the mother-of-pearl has come loose, taking some of the gold detail with it. The paste have moderate abrasion. General tarnish to the silver. Unhallmarked.
