Lot Description

An early 20th century silver paste brooch, the oval mottled blue and white glass cabochon within a foliate surround, together with an enamel rose and halo pendant. Brooch with hallmarks for Gourdel Vales & Co, Birmingham, 1905. Pendant stamped sterling silver. Lengths 3.1 and 2.7cms. Total weight 8.4gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized. The enamel has damage to the leaves and sections of the blue surround. The rose appears slightly depressed within the surround. Length of chain 40cms. The mottled paste has glue residue and slight pitting. The hallmarks and makers marks are worn.
