Lot Description

A late 19th century gold coral pendant, of oval outline, carved to depict a series of fruit, flowers and foliage, individually wired to the loop surmounts, suspending a similarly carved drop. Two drops deficient. Coral untested for natural colour origin. Length 6.7cms. Weight 21.9gms.

Part of one of the missing drops is attached to the coral three-strand bracelet in the following lot.

The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The right and central drops are deficient, the right suspension loop is also broken off and deficient. At least four of the coral segments are missing. Some coral segments are loose. Coral untested for natural colour origin. The coral is a mottled pinkish orange hue with small areas of white. There are minor nicks and chips and variously sized polyp holes.
