An early 20th century Japanese miniature wooden Noh mask, carved to depict a traditional Noh theatre character, with a sliding panel to the reverse revealing a carved bone phallus. Length 3cms.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The wood has discolouration and wear, there are moderately deep scratches and dents to her forehead and face. The bone is discoloured and crudely carved. The bone is very loosely attached to the inside, fragile.
