Lot Description
A French mid 20th century 18ct gold sapphire and cultured pearl cluster ring. The cultured pearl within a calibre-cut sapphire halo, to the tapered band. French Assay marks. Weight 4.1gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Slight scratches to band in keeping with overall wear. There is a French assay stamp to the outside of the band. The cultured pearls and sapphires have possibly been replaced at a later date. The sapphires are bluish purple in colour with a moderate saturation of colour, one sapphire is chipped, there are minor inclusions visible with magnification. The cultured pearl is off round with visible blemishes to the nacre, it has a cream to yellowish body colour displaying pinks and greens. The setting to the sapphires appears uneven and worn in places, there is some discolouration to the head of the ring. Ring size M1/2.
