Lot Description
A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum opal and diamond three-stone ring. The circular opal cabochon, to the old-cut diamond shoulders and tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct, L-tinted colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Weight 2.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are slight scratches to the ring in keeping with the age of the piece. There is slight abrasion to the opal only visible with magnification, the opal has a white body colour displaying pinks, blues and greens. The diamonds are drawing yellow which is easily visible, there is a chip surface reaching fracture to one and scattered white inclusions to the other. There is discolouration to the shoulders.
