Lot Description
A mid 19th century Russian 14ct gold garnet-topped-doublet, turquoise and split pearl brooch. The oval-shape garnet-topped-doublet within a split pearl surround, to the staggered double bar with sphere terminals and oval turquoise cabochon accents. Russian marks. Length 5.6cms. Weight 6.3gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the double bar in keeping with the age of the piece. There are dents to a couple of the hollow bars and areas of discolouration. The gemstones are in good condition, there are blisters and blemishes to the split pearls, there is natural veining to the turquoise. There is visible silk to the garnet top and gas bubbles to the join with a blue glass pavillion. Some of the settings may need to be secured. Stamped 56 Makers stamp AC.
