Lot Description
MIKIMOTO - a mid 20th century 9ct gold cultured pearl and jade clip. Of openwork design, the circular-shape nephrite jade grapes to the cultured and split pearl foliate surmount within a scrolling surround. Maker's mark for Mikimoto. Diameter 2.7cms. Weight 8.1gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are slight scratches to the clip in keeping with slight wear. There is yellowing to the clip in places. The split pearls are in good condition and well matched, there are some blemishes to the nacre of the split pearls. The cultured pearl is slightly yellower in body colour. The nephrite jade is in good condition, there is patchy colour and visible inclusions to many. Jade untested for natural colour origin. Back clip is stamped WO K9. The clip fitting is secure.
