A late 19th century continental gold gem-set brooch. Designed as a stylised fan, the scalloped panel with textured leaf, foil-back topaz and green-gem detail, suspending a pear-shape foil-back topaz fringe. Length 6cms. Weight 11.1gms.

The lot is in fair to good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The arrow-head shape structures have dents and a small loss. The foil-backed gems have small chips and noticeable abrasion. The foil backing is deteriorated somewhat. Unhallmarked.
