Lot Description
A late 19th century continental 9ct gold citrine and seed pearl brooch. The oval-shape citrine, to the seed pearl floral and foliate surround with scrolling detail. Length 5.7cms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The clasp and pin hinge, and associated plates, are more modern replacements with minor soft solder evident. The hook for a pendant has been reapplied with minor soft solder. There are six holes to the mount, possibly indicating original cloth attachments. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The citrine is an orangey yellow hue with minor colour zoning and small, eye visible inclusions. Estimated citrine dimensions 42 by 31mms. Total weight 43.8gms.
