The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Some of the diamonds appear dull and some may be replacements and include some single-cut diamonds and diamonds points. There are some small chips to some of the diamonds. The principal diamond has a large chip/surface cavity which connects to an internal inclusion and is the reason for the clarity grading. Most of the diamonds appear bright and well matched though are individually too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. The safety chain may be a later addition. There are some small repairs visible to the back of one side of the brooch, where the diamonds appear more dull and dark. The safety chain may not be original. Weight 11.8gms. Engraved 18ct Plat.
