Lot Description
A late 19th century 15ct gold turquoise brooch. The vari-shape turquoise and blue- gem cabochon cluster within a filigree and rope-twist surround, suspending a later fringe. Length 5.2cms. Weight 13.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the brooch in places. The tassel drops are possible replacements. Some of the turquoise appears to have been replaced with a different gem variety, there are inclusions and areas if imperfection to many, the centre stone is cracked. Some of the tassel terminations have been replaced. The back pin is not original. The tassels have been added at a later date and are not original to the brooch. The back pin and catch is secure.
