Lot Description
A lady's mid 20th century French 18ct gold ruby fob watch. The circular dial with Arabic numerals, to the spherical case with scattered circular-shape ruby highlights, suspended from a brick-link chain and similarly-designed surmount. Signed UTI. French assay marks. Length 5.5cms. Weight 11.6gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The connecting chain may be a replacement. The prongs to the clasp are later additions/replacements with minor soft solder. The watch face is signed UTI and has noticeable discolouration. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The rubies are a well matched pinkish red hue with minor-moderate abrasions. French makers mark GM with crossed hammers. Numbered 4208 and 21834 to surmount.
