George II silver waiter with shell and scroll border, central crest and motto and raised on three hoof feet. Hallmarked Robert Abercromby London 1740. Diameter measuring 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm), weight 6 ozt (189 grams).

The waiter appears in fair to poor condition along with general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing, there are numerous repairs visible to the rim with heavy rubbing and loss of detail and definition to the rim. Minor dimples visible to the main ground. The motto reads 'I Dare'. The hallmarks are clearly legible, the date letter in particular rubbed.
