Lot Description

A eighteenth century cream jug, the bulbous body, florally embossed with initialled engraved cartouche, scratch initials to the underside,  frilled rim, scrolling handle and raised above three shell mounted hoof feet. Hallmarks Spurious, possibly Samuel Holmes London, date letter indistinct. Height measuring 4 1/4 inches (11 cm), weight 3.2 ozt (99.7 grams).
