Lot Description
Late Victorian silver pair of trinket dishes, each of heart shape with garland, scroll and foliate motifs to the pierced sides and raised above three ball feet, hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1896; together with a small silver tea caddy, of oval form and embossed with a continuous figurative scene, hallmarked Chester, possibly 1915, and a silver baluster shape bud vase with filled base, hallmarked Gorham Manufacturing Co., Birmingham 1915. Combined weighable silver 3.91 ozt (121.6 grams).

Condition Report
All four pieces are quite tarnished and display general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Deeper scratches visible to some areas. Some small dints to the pierced dishes and one of them displays some splits in the metal. There are floods of solder around most of the joins of the ball feet, indicating possible repairs. Hallmarks clear and legible. The caddy also displays several surface dints and there are several small holes in the embossed decoration. Hallmarks are partly distorted and difficult to read. Bud vase has an overall yellowish tinge and there are some knocks to the foot rim. Hallmarks are legible.
