Lot Description

Victorian cased silver condiment set with matching butter dish and knife, the condiment set of small size comprising a pepper, mustard and open salt on a tray with gadrooned border of plain form and gadrooned rims, the circular butter dish with twin handles conforming in design and matching Onslow Pattern butter knife. Hallmarked Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson & David Landsborough Fullerton) London 1898/99, the case signed by the retailer Richard Dillon, Jeweller Waterford. Gross silver weight 7.9 ozt (246 grams).

The condiment set and butter dish display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Areas of heavier tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. The original mustard spoon is missing with non-matching replacement present. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible. Case displays general wear and tear.
