Lot Description

A pair of mid-twentieth century silver sauce boats, each designed as an oval body, with wide spout and scalloped rim, to the scroll handle and pad feet. Hallmarked Adie Brothers Ltd, Birmingham 1951. Length 6 1/8 inches (15.5cm). Weight 6.83 ozt (212.3 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One of the sauce boats has a small dent to one side and two of the feet are squashed. The other sauce boat has a foot pressed back into the body, clearly visible to the other side. Scratches to the inside of both. Hallmarks slightly worn but clear and legible.
