Lot Description

A pair of Edwardian open salts of circular form, floral pierced border, blue glass liners and raised above three ball feet. Together with associated plated condiment spoons. Hallmarked William Aitken Birmingham 1902. Height measuring 1 1/2 inches (4 cm), gross silver weight 1.7 ozt (53.6 grams).

The open salts display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The blue glass liners display numerous chips, particularly to the rims. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Maker's mark partly worn.
