Lot Description
Modern silver pair of candlesticks, each modelled as a classical column below a Corinthian style capital, and a detachable nozzle with beaded rim to the concave sides, all raised above a stepped square filled base with oval bead border decoration, one with a personal dedication engraving. Hallmarked Alexander Smith, Birmingham 1969. Height including nozzle measures 12 inches (30.5 cm).

Condition Report
Both candlesticks display general surface scratches, marks, wear and some tarnishing. Deeper scratches to some areas and numerous small surface nicks and dints, especially along edges, rims and corners. Some slight loss of decoration to the decoration on the capitals. Both also bear a Jewish inscription along one side of the base. The hallmarks are clear and legible, also part hallmarks to nozzles.
