A 1930's silver cigarette box, of rectangular form, raised on curved bar feet, the hinged lid with monogram and personal inscription to the interior. Hallmarked Jacques Cartier, London 1937. Length 8 inches (20.3cm). Weight 14.3 ozt (444.7 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Small dents to lid and edge of base. Personal inscription to inside of lid reads "Presented to V.L. Aspland. Esq. M.C. by Wardens of the Northern Division South Bucks A.R.P. Area on the occasion of his retirement from the Post of Divisional Warden 24th February 1940."
