An Edwardian silver mounted photograph frame of shaped rectangular form, embossed with floral scrolls and supported on an easel back, hallmarked Henry Matthews Birmingham 1907, height measuring 7 ¼ inches (18.5 cm). Together with a modern silver mounted photograph frame of plain rectangular form. (2).

The Edwardian photograph frame displays some obvious wear and tear with scratches, marks and tarnishing. Parts of the high embossing have worn through to holes. The material to the reverse appear very worn with various ‘home made’ repairs to the hinge and easel back. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker’s mark partly worn. The modern silver mounted photograph frame displays general scratches and marks, noticeable tarnishing, the hallmarks are clear and legible.
