Lot Description

A late Victorian silver hand raised cream jug of helmet form, punch engraved rim, reeded loop handle and raised above a pedestal base with square foot, hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes Chester 1899, height measuring 5 inches (13 cm). Together with two George III silver sugar nips hallmarked Peter & William Bateman London 1812 and London 1797 with the maker’s mark IB. Gross weight 4.6 ozt (146 grams). (3).

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dints and bumps to the cream jug, the lip appears distorted, the top join of the handle appears a little crude. The hallmarks overall are clear and legible.
