Lot Description
Edwardian silver trophy bowl, with reeded rim above a band of engraved presentation inscriptions, with lobed lower body and raised above a spreading circular foot with conforming lobed border decoration. With original wooden box. Hallmarked Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh 1901. Rim diameter of bowl measures 8 1/4 inches (21 cm), height measures 5 1/2 inches (14 cm), weight 17.77 ozt (552.8 grams).

Condition Report
Bowl displays general wear, surface marks and scratches and a little tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There are some deeper scratches in places, especially some visible to the centre of the interior. There are also a few surface nicks and dints around the main body. There are remnants of tape across the hallmarks to the underside but the are still legible. There is considerable damage and deterioration to the wooden case and the material to the interior has been renewed.
