George III Scottish silver quaich of plain circular form, initialled body, reeded rims and twin handles. Hallmarked John McDonald Edinburgh 1802. Length including handles 4 1/2 inches (12 cm), weight 2.3 ozt (71.5 grams).

The quaich displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There are some dints visible. Runs of solder visible to the underside join of the base to the body. The initial engraving is quite rubbed. The hallmarks to the underside are clear and legible.
