Lot Description
Late Victorian silver twin handled trophy cup, the main body with lobed lower section below a circular panel engraved with a pigeon to the centre, vacant circular panel to the opposing side, the angular handles with stylised floral and foliate motifs, all raised above a plain stem spreading to a foliate embossed circular foot. On a circular ebonised wooden plinth. Hallmarked Birmingham 1896, maker's mark T.W (probably T.Wooley). Maximum height including handles (excluding plinth) measures 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm), weight 13 ozt (405.7 grams).

Condition Report
The cup displays general wear and tarnishing, also general surface marks and scratches. Remnants of polish to some areas and, also some deeper scratches in place sand various minor nicks in the metal. There are a couple of small surface dints and a seam line is visible around the stem. The decoration is generally okay. The interior is quite heavily tarnished. Hallmarks are clear and legible. The cup is not fitted to the plinth.
