Lot Description
A 1930's table cigarette box of rectangular form with twin compartments, each hinged lid with shaped corners, engine turned decoration and opening to reveal a plain wood lined interior, the whole on four corner bracket feet. Hallmarked Alexander Clark & Co Ltd., Birmingham 1932. Measuring 10 1/4 inches (26 cm) by 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm).

Condition Report
The box is quite tarnished all over with various darker patches of tarnishing to some areas. There is general surface wear and also general surface marks and scratches, commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper, more visible scratches to some areas and also some minor surface nicks/dints. Hinged lids are in good working order. The wooden interior is generally okay, some wear and deterioration to the material mount on the underside. Slight distortion to maker's mark but all other hallmarks are clear and legible.
