Lot Description

Continental bottle cover of panel sided cylindrical form with two opposing straight sides, each pierced panel intricately decorated with Indian deity figures amidst scrolling foliage, the detachable screw on lid with bulbous top and decorative border motifs, the whole with a flat hinged opening base.  Maximum height including lid measures 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm), gross weight 160 grams.

Postage: Auction Default

Item displays general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches.  Some more visible scratches to the underside.  The hinged base and clasp are in working order.  There is some loss of detail to the decoration on the lid and a couple of surface dints to the bulbous top.  There is also a seam line visible on one side.  There is a spring to the interior of the lid, which is now loose and does fall out.
