Lot Description
Late nineteenth century cased set of five white metal Chinese export napkin rings, each decorated with applied wrythen dragons surrounding an initialled cartouche. Stamped to the inside TS alongside a Chinese character mark, possibly for Tien Shing, Hong Kong. In fitted case for six napkin rings, one deficient. Gross weight 6 ozt (187 grams).

Condition Report
The napkin rings display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Further areas of significant tarnishing and discolouration. The Chinese marks, positioned to the interior, are heavily worn. As mentioned in the description the sixth napkin ring is missing. Initialled 'D' to the cartouche. The case also displays some obvious general wear in keeping with the age and use.
