Lot Description

Five Edwardian bone handled silver fish forks and three matching knives, hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1908;  together with a Victorian mother of pearl handled fruit knife and four other sets of six silver handled fruit knives of varying styles and dates. (one set in fitted case).

Total lot weight: No

The pieces are in varied condition but all display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Hallmarks on the fish forks and knives and Victorian knife are all clear and legible.  The silver handles on the other knives generally display numerous surface dints and marks and the hallmarks are all quite worn.  Also some of the blades have come away from the ferrules and mounts, therefore leaving gaps.
