Lot Description

A cased pair of Edwardian silver butter knives, with scroll engraved blades and tapering handles embossed in high relief scrolls. Hallmarked Adie & Lovekin Ltd Birmingham 1909. Length measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm).

The butter knives display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. One of the handles does look to have had a repair, also beginning to split to the seam. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark a little worn. The case generally displays general wear.
