Lot Description
A set of six George III silver Old English Pattern teaspoons with initialled terminals, hallmarked Hester Bateman, no town assay believed London 1784. Together with a selection of seven George III silver teaspoons, predominately with initialled terminals. Gross weight 5.03 ozt (156.3 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The set of six teaspoons has only the makers mark, the lion passant and the date letter marks, no town assay mark, some hallmarks slightly worn. The bowls show slight surface blemishes and small dents, two have a noticeable dent to the side of the bowl. The seven single teaspoons have different makers, including Hester Bateman, William Eley and William Fearne. Some hallmarks rubbed, some without the town assay, assumed to be London. Two of the bowls have significant dents. All bar one monogrammed, one with bright-cut edge.
