Lot Description
Victorian silver twin handled sugar basin and a similar cream jug, each of bulbous form with lobed panel sides and engraved to each section with floral, scroll and foliate motifs, one panel having an engraved crest to the centre, each with scroll handles and raised above a circular base leading to four foliate scrolled feet. Hallmarked London 1852, maker possibly William Hunter. Maximum length of sugar basin measures 8 3/4 inches (22 cm), maximum height of cream jug measures 6 1/4 inches (16 cm), combined weight 22.3 ozt (693.6 grams).

Condition Report
Both pieces display general wear, tarnishing and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches in places, especially to the interior of both. Some small surface dints, mainly visible around the main body of the sugar basin. Hallmarks to the underside of both are slightly rubbed in places but all still legible. Maker's mark to the cream jug is slightly more distorted.
