Lot Description
An Edwardian silver vesta case of rectangular form with scroll and foliate engraving, hallmarked Birmingham 1901, height measuring 4.8 cm. Together with an American aide-mémoire, stamped sterling in the form of a hinged book with Rococo style engraving and surround to the vacant cartouche, made by Gorham, probably twentieth century, height measuring 5.7 cm. (2).

Condition Report
Both items appear in good overall condition displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The cartouche to the vesta case has been previously engraved, faint initials visible. The pages to the Aide-mémoire are filled with owner's writing. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
