Lot Description
A selection of ten silver and white metal thimbles, to include an early twentieth century white metal thimble with panel depicting a mother and child winding thread, a boy teasing a cat with a thread and a mother being watched by a small child, sewing, together with a silver cheroot holder converted into a lighter. Weight of thimbles 1.36 ozt (42.4 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Seven of the thimbles are hallmarked, hallmarks mostly partially worn, mostly legible. Two are stamped sterling silver. The thimble with the sewing related images is stamped 800, images worn and heavily scratched. Most of the thimbles are turn of the century, one is modern. Three of the thimbles have holes in and three (including two of those with holes in) have significant dents. The cheroot holder has minor dents, hallmarks for Birmingham, partially obscured.
