Lot Description
A 1930's silver mounted compact of circular form with an inset porcelain panel to lid transfer printed with a profile portrait of a dog, and opening to reveal a mirror and a metal powder container with an open and shut rotating lid. Silver hallmarked Crisford & Norris Ltd., Birmingham 1931. Diameter measures 5.2 cm.

Condition Report
The compact displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. The silver is quite tarnished and displays numerous deeper, more visible scratches to the underside and also various minor nicks. There are also numerous scratches and nicks/chips to the porcelain panel. There is a larger rim chip to the top of the panel, above the dog's head. Some light surface scratches to the mirror. Hallmarks to interior are clear and legible.
