Lot Description

Early twentieth century Dutch silver box in the form of a house with retractable hinged roof. Stamped with the sword standard mark and the maker's mark for Jan van Dijk. Height measuring 4.3 cm, weight 25.7 grams.

The miniature house displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A few minor dints and bumps. The lid rising a little in the closed position. The sword standard mark and maker's mark clearly stamped to the base and back, further mark to the base.
