Condition Report
The case displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Deeper scratches are visible to some areas and various minor nicks. There are also some minor surface dints visible to some areas. There is more wear to the edges and corners, and there is a slight split in the metal in one area. However the decoration is still good and clear. The hinge and clasp are working, although the top and bottom are slightly out of alignment, therefore leaving a slight gap in places when closed. Wear and some fading to the gilding to the interior of the case.
