A 1920s silver-gilt and enamel cigarette case, the bevelled rectangular lid with an oriental scene in blue and red enamel depicting travellers in a riverboat, personal inscription inside 'No No Nanette, 11.3.1925-16.10.1926' and facsimile signatures of Herbert Clayton and Jack Waller, together with supporting documents including a typed note from Clayton and Waller, editions of "The Play Pictoral" and "The Palace". Import marks for Glasgow 1925. Length 3 1/16 inches (7.8cm). Weight 3.89 ozt (120.98 grams).

Condition Report
The cigarette case displays general minor surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. There is a small area to one of the interior corners, where the gilding has been scratched away. Hinges and clasp are in good working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible and overall the case appears in fairly good condition. There is some wear and deterioration to the supporting documentation.
