Lot Description
A turn of the century Austro-Hungarian silver cigarette box of rectangular form, the main body with oblique blue guilloché enamel, cornered by white enamel lace-work and Greek-key border. Marked with the Dianakopf head mark 1872-1922, 900 standard, Vienna, and the initial mark I.S?. Length measuring 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm), weight 4.8 ozt (151 grams).

Condition Report
The cigarette case displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There are further deeper scratches to the enamel, minor chips to the edges and a more significant chip to the edge below the lip. The hinge and clasp are on good working order. Patina to the gilt interior. The interior is also stamped 65, the marks, are clear, initial mark partly distorted.
