Lot Description

Art Nouveau silver scent bottle of cylindrical form, the body embossed with a scene of water nymphs amongst lilly pads and reeds, replacement glass insert and stopper. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons London 1902. Height measuring 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).

The scent bottle displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Small minor dints visible. Although the silver base is removable, we are unable to remove the glass insert for inspection and is likely to be a replacement, the glass stopper displaying chips is also fixed in position. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
