A George IV silver snuff box, the engine turned rectangular body with vacant cartouche and scrolling foliate grip. Hallmarked Thomas Freeman, Birmingham 1823. Length 2 1/2 inches (6.4cm). Weight 1.69 ozt (52.6 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Moderate wear to the engraving. The full set of hallmarks is spread across the base and lid. Small dents. Some larger dents to the base. Gilt interior finish remains largely intact. Hallmarks slightly worn.
